The 19th Scientific Advisory Meeting of ICAR KVK Churachandpur was successfully conducted on 3rd Feb. 2026 at the conference hall of the ICAR RC for NEH Region, Manipur Centre through online and offline mode. The meeting was Chaired by Dr. S. Ghatak, Director, ICAR-RC for NEH Region, Umiam, Meghalaya, Dr. A.K. Singha, Principle Scientist, ICAR-ATARI, Umiam, Meghalaya, Dr. S. Basanta Singh, Principle Scientist and Nodal Officer-ICAR KVKs, ICAR-RC for NEH Region, Umiam, Meghalaya, Dr. Ch Basudha Devi, Head of Regional Centre, ICAR-RC for NEH Region, Manipur Centre, Shri. Kh. Lokendra Singh, Doordarshan Programme Executive & in-charge agriculture programme (as Guest of Honour), DC Churachandpur representative, member from various line department including Dept. of Fisheries, Dept. of Animal Science, Dept. of Agriculture, DDK, AIR, KVIC, CIPMC, MU, KVKs Head, progressive farmers and farmwomen. The meeting started with an overall report presentation for the last year 2025 by Senior Scientist-cum-Head Dr. Manoj Kumar Pandey followed by individual Annual Report 2025 and Action Plan 2026 presentation by respective Subject Matter Specialist- Soil Science (Dr. L. Somendro Singh), Plant Protection (Dr. N. Johnson Singh), Fisheries (Dr. N. Soranganba), Home Science (Dr. S. Roma Devi) and Agroforestry (Bs. Hmannihring Anal). The house accolades the KVK for their excellent work and achievement during the last year and concluded in a fruitful manner with impactful suggestions from all the esteemed members for the upcoming year ahead. Finally, the KVK Churachandpur thanks all the SAC executive members for their diligent, sincere and thought provoking suggestions.
